Howard Theatre Grandly Re-Opened

Washingtonian Magazine recently interviewed Chef Frederik de Pue about his plans for an innovative new Shaw restaurant at 903 N St., NW. To be called Table (and pronounced "tawb-luh"), it will be a place where "you can linger for hours over coffee and pastries in the morning, or a bottle of wine after dinner. Essentially, the type of restaurant that's scarce in Washington."

Currently undergoing a massive renovation, Carter plans "a personal, European-style store where customers can buy a candle, organic blanket or a sofa, for example, and have a latte at the espresso bar he’s installing in the shop’s core."
