Show a Shaw Business Some Love on Cash Mob Weekend, 05/31/25!

Looking for something fun and meaningful to do this weekend? Join The Coalition (formerly the Coalition for Non-Profit Housing and Economic Development) and Shaw Main Streets for DC’s Cash Mob Weekend—a citywide celebration of small businesses as part of #DCSmallBizMonth!

The Coalition and Shaw Main Streets are teaming up to bring attention (and foot traffic!) to amazing local businesses across the District—and we want you to be part of it.

In Shaw, FishScale has been serving fresh, sustainable fish burgers, fish cheesesteaks and platters, crab cakes and housemade side dishes since 2017.

Stop by for a sandwich or platter, dine in or take out, during the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 PM to support this Black and woman-owned business.Businesses in other neighborhoods are also participating, including Mount Pleasant, North Cleveland Park, Adams Morgan, Anacostia, Petworth and Sixteenth Street Heights.

What to Expect:

Mob Time: Plan to shop between 12 PM – 2 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025. (Other neighborhoods are activating on both Saturday and Sunday).

Shop Local & Spend $25+ to show your support!

Don’t forget to snap a few photos while you're out and about! Share your Cash Mob experience on social media and tag @TheCoalition_DC and @shawmainstreets along with the business you’re visiting. The Coalition will be reposting your stories and giving shoutouts all weekend long!
