Rogue Sessions Bring Star Chefs to Shaw

James Beard Award Winning Chef R.J. Cooper opened Rogue 24 opened last summer in Blagden Alley, and the restaurant has been attracting foodies far and wide ever since.

Chef RJ Cooper was recently forced to step away from his celebrated restaurant to undergo open-heart surgery. The surgery will correct a genetic heart defect known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which could be life-threatening if not treated.

In Cooper’s place, ten of RJ Cooper’s friends, some of the nation’s most exciting chefs, will take over Rogue 24’s kitchen for one week each during “Rogue Sessions.” The one-week-long sessions begin January 10 and run through March 17, 2012.

The chef each week will be announced exclusively on Gilt City. Tickets to each week’s dinners will be sold on the site for $185 per person, with 250 seats available per week (50 per night), and reservations handled by CityEats.com – powered by Food Network. Each sumptuous evening will feature a 24-course dinner featuring twelve of the visiting chef’s dishes and twelve Rogue 24 favorites, with wine and cocktail pairings by celebrity bartender Derek Brown and Beverage Director JP Fetherston.

Chef RJ Cooper will be donating a portion of each ticket to Share Our Strength, an organization devoted to ending childhood hunger in America that the chef has supported for 22 years.
