Shaw Main Streets 2020 Annual Meeting Postponed due to COVID-19 Emergency!
The Board of Directors of Shaw Main Streets voted on March 18, 2020 to postpone the 2020 Shaw Main Streets Annual Meeting, previously scheduled for March 24, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC Hotel, due to the COVID-19 Health Emergency imposed by Mayor Buriel E. Bowser.
The Hea;th Emergency prohibits events with more than 10 persons in attendance. As the annual meeting was expected to attract approximately 100 persons, the event cannot be held at this time.
The SMS Board of Directors will rescheudle the event after the Health Emergency has passed. All activities associated with the Annual Meeting, including the release of the 2019 Annual Report, election of Board members, and announcement of the winners of the Best New Shaw Business of 2019, will take place at the rescheduled meeting.
