Shaw Open House, one of Shaw Main Streets’ most popular annual neighborhood events, returns on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM until businesses’ closing time. This year’s Shaw Open House is an opportunity to spend an evening dining and shopping in Shaw, as we celebrate the neighborhood and invite the entire city to visit Shaw and learn about its unique bars, restaurants and places to live, work, shop, and play.

As part of Shaw Main Streets’ ongoing #LoveShaw campaign, Shaw Open House/Dine in Shaw gives visitors every reason to #ShopinShaw and #DineInShaw.  Enjoy a #Shawesome evening of food, drink and entertainment,

The first 250 Shaw Open House/Dine in Shaw guests will each receive a $20 'Shawbuck,' redeemable at participating businesses. Use it just like cash, with no other purchase required. Dine in and take out orders are eligible. Guests with checks under $20 can receive change back. The balance on checks over $20 can be paid using cash or card. All 'Shawbucks' expire at each business’ closing time or 3:00 AM on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the latest, so be sure to check the closing time of the business of your choice in order to avoid disappointment. 

This Shaw Open House will include businesses throughout the Shaw Main Streets service area.  Here you will find some of DC’s most beloved eateries, watering holes, and retail locations.  Each will offer exciting tastes, experiences and services to all.

Attendees can participate in Shaw Open House/Dine in Shaw by picking up a $20 Shawbuck at the event Welcome Center at Casa Majanos, 1439 11^th StreEt, NW, starting at 5:00 PM on the day of the event, while supplies last.

This is a FREE event for all, and no tickets or reservations are required.

Free Shaw swag can also be picked up at the Welcome Center, including recyclable shopping bags, souvenir magnets, and more, while supplies last.
